We’ve been surprised to hear how many actors are concerned about this.
The very cool thing about our industry (other than creating intricate worlds and complex characters), is that a lot of us are multihyphenates.
How many times have you been introduced to someone who is an actor-director-writer-producer? Throw yoga instructor in there and now you’re really in LA 😉
Point is, this is a normal part of our industry.
Many of us have bounced around or dabbled in different creative roles and not only is that acceptable, it’s encouraged!
Taking acting classes makes you a better director. Understanding writing makes you a better actor.
We trust that when you get an audition, in that moment, acting takes the priority.
Other than that? 𝙔𝙤𝙪 𝙙𝙤 𝙮𝙤𝙪.
Write a short. Direct a play. Produce a web series.
These things will actually 𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘱 you in your acting career.
Trust that we aware of how our industry flows and that we do not need you to focus solely on one thing to believe you are a capable, dedicated actor.
